Sentara Healthcare Renovations - $ 2M; 20,000 SF
Multiple invitations of lump-sum bids for six different renovations with staggered bid dates spread across 5 weeks.
Key challenge – Short response time with sole responsibility; invitations were mutually exclusive.
Key achievement – Shortlisted for presentation on one and came second on two pursuits.

Palmer Park Community Center, M-NCPPC - $ 6.1M; 32,000 SF
Two-part competitive bidding process for lump-sum contract of renovation of and addition to a local community center.
Key challenge – Simultaneous submissions of technical & complete price proposals
Key achievement – Highest score on technical and low bidder on price; project award received

Wexler Walker Renovation - $ 1M; 15,000 SF
Negotiated GMP contract for the phased-renovation of four floors of a historic building in downtown DC.
Key challenge – Project duration was limited to the Congressional recess of 5 weeks. End-user presence in later phase led to many change orders.
Key achievement – On-time delivery, no extension of time for changes and within budget.
Wells Fargo Renovations - $ 4M; 100,000 SF
Negotiated lump sum contract for the renovation & transformation of 30 Wachovia stores in Washington, DC to Wells Fargo standards of which 17 were flagship stores.
Key challenges – Multiple milestones & end-users, several landlords & owner vendors, off-hours work in occupied, functional spaces, scope doubled half-way into the project and time of completion remained unchanged.
Key achievement – Delivered (4) milestones for each store on-time and under budget through change order negotiation.


Arlington Dept of Human Services - $ 6M; 125,000 SF
Publicly bid lump sum contract for the fit-out of 5 floors for the Arlington county health services facility that included exam rooms, offices, class rooms and conference rooms.
Key challenges – Fast-paced submittal review & material procurement process and extensive LEED documentation.
Key achievement – On-time substantial completion and project achieved LEED-Gold exceeding a target of LEED-Silver.
